Two-Tone Trend

Hey You,

Welcome back to my blog!

Have you ever found the perfect pair of jeans, only to get caught between the two gorgeous shades? Instead of being anxious and confused, why not buy a denim that offers both the color shades at the same time? Whether you call it bicolor, color blocking or two-tone, the trend has been here for a while and will continue to be on the fashion forefront for the rest of the year.

Sure, I love my wardrobe basics like jeans and T-shirts, the basic neutral shades and all the minimalistic pieces but I also like to sport styles that create an impact without a lot of effort. Like me, if you are looking for a statement trend to break the monotony of everyday outfits, then the two-tone trend is for you. A riff on color blocking, but slightly minimal, the trend takes shape via contrasting denim, coats, dresses, blazers and boots. It offers such an eye-catching and creative way to style your outfit.

Two-tone apparel essentially looks like your garment has been split right down the middle, proving that half the look makes for twice the fun. It's an aesthetic fit for the trendy and the indecisive alike.

Here is how I styled this two-toned black and white denim

I styled this gorgeous black and white two-toned denim with a pastel blue cropped top. To add more two-tones to the look, I chose to wear matching blue two-tone heels but don’t hesitate to put on those sneakers for a comfy sporty look.

You can find the black and white denim at Revice Denim and the crop top at Zara.

The best part is that you don’t have to pick sides with the Two-Tone trend. For me, this is it - Two very different looks disguised into a single clothing item, having the potential for allowing you to be both clean and chaotic, surprising and simple, party and professional!

BTW, it's the season of millennial pastels: think mints, pinks, and lemons!

Following a summer of bright neon hues, Summer 2020’s color trends included pistachio green, baby blue, and orange sorbet. The two-tone trend works wonders with pastel colors.

I chose to wear the baby blue pastel cropped top but feel free to switch up the game with other pastels or bright summer colors and match it with your heels.

Do give this trend a try! If you are not comfortable wearing the crop top, swap it for a loose basic tee or a tank top. Also, Revice Denim has the denim available in all sizes and it looks great on all silhouettes.

And as I always say, feel free to dress up or down with accessories and don’t forget to have fun.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Here’s the tip for the week-

Tip #8: The easiest way to get dressed for days when you can’t decide which color apparel to wear is to add a dose of cool by wearing a two-toned piece of clothing. Go all out with bicolored pant legs, boots dipped half-and-half in contrasting colors, and two-paneled blouses. Pair it up with pastel accessories and enjoy your colorful day.
